encourages growing food crops in the City. 
Its goal is to enhance Urban Farming through grassroots actions,
education and advocacy in its immediate community. Bushwick Campus Farm is growing
fast. Their goal is to take responsibility of the community’s well-being
through food guarantee. The organization develops and manages many urban
agricultural projects.  The organization

This organization is registered
with the Department of labor’s Apprenticeship program. It carefully investigates
bright individuals tow work at the agricultural Company through the Registered
Apprenticeship program as greenhouse attendants. The program offers excellent advantages
to workers by giving them a chance to achieve a gain working future. They will
experience constant training and gain improvement of productivity.  Training is flexible under the curriculums approved
by the department of labor. The Urban Farming Company serves as a national
certified company. Apprentices will work under the farm managers, five days
every week (Monday to Friday) and they will be committed at their discretion in
other emerging summer jobs at the farm. They will focus on Greenhouse maintenance
in their daily activities. This apprenticeship is designed to model those with
little or no field experience in Greenhouse maintenance and service. Expectations
will include: reproduction, plant sales, gardening, and training new recruits
on various skill they have learned. The apprenticeship will also actively focus
on community engagement; outreach, education and production by having the
learners take regular field trips to predetermined agricultural sites. The
apprentices work in groups and attend a weekly workshop hosted by the director
of the farm.

The focus of the program is teaching
the needed skills for food growing. Apprentices will gain knowledge by
observing, practicing, handling group responsibilities assigned by the manager,
and coaching others. Apprentices who excel in the program are issued
certifications by the Department of Labor. The Bushwick Campus Farm collaborates
with growers, scholars and activists from all states in the U.S.

The Company requires the
apprentices to work for 35 hours per week for a duration of at least three
months. It seeks to recruit people who are social and independent, individuals
who are prepared to exercise creativity and leadership and who have a passion
for organic farming. The recruits must have some basic formal training in food
justice, irrigation, propagation or growing soil; similar courses will be
